How do I add premade messages to my account?
To add or edit premade messages in your account you will need to log into the control panel at http://login.velaro.com
Logging in as an administrator will give you access to all of your agents personal premade messages and also shared premade messages if your subscription allows for them.
1. Select Engage -> Premade messages
2. To add a category to your shared messages select "Add" under the shared category list. You will be presented with a box to add the name of the category.
3. To add a message to a category, select the category.
4. Click "Add new message"
5. Every premade message that you create must be assigned a short title. The list of titles are displayed to agents within the chat for quick reference within the Velaro Agent Desktop application.
Make sure your premade message title clearly identifies the context of this premade message.
6. In addition to the standard text of a premade message, each message may also be preconfigured to push a specific URL to the visitor's chat window. If the visitor does not
have a popup blocker, this push-page event causes a new browser to launch using the configured URL. If the visitor's browser has a popup blocker, the push page is simply
displayed as a clickable link. Push pages are optional for each premade message and should be left blank if you do not want to use it.
7. The message text is the actual text that is sent to other people within the chat. If an agent selects to use this premade message, this text is added to the transcript.
It is important to note that Velaro allows agents to use any valid HTML within the chat conversation, and premade message may also be pre-formatted with HTML as well.
So for example, the following text is perfectly valid for a premade message:
Click this chair for more information: <a target="_blank" src="http://www.mysite.com/
chat1html"><img src="http://www.mysite.com/chair.gif" /><a>
After you are finished editing the premade message click the "Save" option to save you message.
To cancel the current editing session click "Cancel"
To add or edit personal premade messages select the agent from the list and repeat the above steps for adding a new message.
The next time your agent(s) accept a chat the premade messages will then be accessible to them in the agent chat window.
